Who we are:
ACT TravelWise is the UK’s premier network for all organisations working to promote sustainable travel.
Our vision:
A society in which people and organisations can meet their travel needs in ways that protect and enhance the environment, improve public health and support community well-being.
Our mission:
To support our members in their work to promote sustainable travel through provision of first-class learning opportunities, partnership working, marketing support and networking events, all with a specific focus on building expertise and experience in travel planning and other cost-effective demand management measures.Our History
ACT TRAVELWISE was formed in 2008 from a merger of The Association for Commuter Transport (ACT) and the National TravelWise Association (NTWA).
Both organisations were membership bodies that have been working to promote travel behaviour change since the mid-1990’s.

Our Secretariat
The Secretariat for ACT TRAVELWISE is PTRC Education and Research Services Ltd based in London. PTRC run around 50 training courses a year on transport related subjects, many of which are available at discounted rates to ACT TravelWise Members. Rory McMullan is the main contact for ACT TravelWise enquiries at PTRC.
