to members.
To bring together public and private sector organisations and individuals
with an interest, involvement or stake in achieving the Mission Statement
and to seek a partnership relationship with these bodies to promote
common goals.
To raise awareness of, and to develop and promote, ideas and initiatives
to reduce car dependency for commuting journeys; including shared
ride arrangements, public transport, walking, cycling and work practices
which reduce the need to travel.
To promote members' views and act as their voice to Government
and other influential bodies (with an involvement or interest in transport).
To support new Government and Local Government ideas and initiatives
which are in accordance with the objectives of ACT.
To identify, promote, and exchange of examples of best practices
of Travel Planning throughout the world.
To foster and undertake research into any aspect of the objectives
of ACT which is in the best interests of all its members.
To provide and support opportunities for all those employed in
promoting commuter travel planning.
To promote and encourage the establishment of similar organisations
throughout the world.
