Fixed term fixed term to 30 June, 2011. Traffic congestion is becoming an increasing problem in Suffolk's larger towns, leading to delayed journeys and poor air quality, which has potential health implications.
Would you like the opportunity to help us tackle this problem?
Workplace travel plans can be a big part of the solution to congestion, by encouraging people to use their cars less for their journeys to work. We are looking for committed people who can work with local businesses to demonstrate the benefits of travel plans and help produce them.
You will have:
* a degree level qualification in a subject relevant to transport/planning/marketing or equivalent experience
* experience of working with the public
* the ability to communicate with internal and external agencies/partners at all levels
* knowledge of transport policies and legislation
* negotiating and influencing skills.
