Our responsibility for London’s transport network isn’t limited to tubes and buses. Far from it. One of our key aims is to reduce congestion and, consequently, tackle climate change. It’s an issue that affects us all, and something that we can all do something about. That’s why we’re keen to promote and extend our workplace travel planning activities. Join us in this important role, and you’ll instigate a change that will benefit everyone. A programme’s already in place, for which you’ll oversee implementation, promotion, reporting and improvement. Put simply, you’ll develop new approaches and products to support employers that adopt voluntary travel plans. This will see you working with the senior Smarter Travel Unit management team, boroughs, sub-regional partnerships and other relevant private and public sector organisations and stakeholders. So as well as enjoying the support of senior management, you’ll also be backed with a £multi-million budget, which you’ll allocate accordingly. To succeed here, you’ll need a rare mix of skills and experience. You’re probably a transport professional already, and have an appreciation of budget and team management. If you do, then you’ll thrive in this influential role. You’ll also enjoy a highly competitive salary and whole host of excellent benefits. We want to be as diverse as the city we represent and welcome applications from everyone regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, faith or disability.
